We've all had experiences with babies. We were even once a baby. If you are a mother you might have a hard time understanding why your baby is crying. According to this article you can identify what your baby is trying to say by one of their 5 sounds based on a study that was conducted on over 1,000 infants. These sounds include Owh, Heh, Eh, Neh, and Eairth which means I'm sleepy, change me, burp me, I'm hungry, and I have gas.
I picked this article because I find it interesting how we all once knew nothing as a baby and couldn't even speak. I sometimes wonder if babies even understand their selves. Babies have a language of their own. Through crying they are expressing a need as they don't know in other way to express that need.
What I find most interesting about this article is the fact that a study on 1,000 infants was able to be conducted. I'm amazed that each sound has a specific meaning. I wonder if that same sound could have another meaning for another baby.
Based on what I said in the last paragraph I would have to both agree and disagree with this article. Babies know what they want and will make a sound. Each baby is different as they are human and will do whatever they can to get what they want. Although If 1,000 of these babies had a sound that meant the same thing I suppose I can believe that as that is a lot. I wonder if a mother's life would be easier if she took this article to heart. Would her baby be like these other babies or would her baby be different?
Obviously I would like to learn more about the language of babies. You can tell I have thoughts of my own. I'd like to know exactly how do they know these sounds mean what they mean. How certain are they about these sounds? I'd also really like to know if babies can somehow connect with other babies.
This topic affects the world because babies are born everyday all over the world and mothers will always continue to struggle understanding their baby. We were all babies and we all had needs that needed to be dealt with.

http://www.cesarsway.com/dogbehavior/barking/What-Your-Dogs-Bark-is-Telling-You
It's no secret that dogs like to bark. Many humans find a dog's bark annoying. According to the article there is a reason that they bark. Sometimes it's not healthy for the dog to continue barking. That is why these reasons need to be identified so they can be prevented. Each bark is different so it's not as hard as one would think. The 4 big reasons for barking include boredom, being spoiled, confusion, and fear.
I picked this article because I myself get annoyed with a dog barking. Usually I will yet at them hoping they stop. It never does sadly. Dogs have a language of their own. They understand each other even though we might not understand them.
What I found most interesting is that a dog will bark because they are bored. They're not getting enough attention and there is a lack of exercise as they have energy not being used. Their energy is going towards the wrong thing. I'm currently living with my grandmother who has 2 dogs. I've noticed that they lay around all day and have gained a lot of weight. At random times during the day they will go outside and just bark. When I open the door to go the backyard they go crazy and run outside through the doggy door as if the world were ending. Perhaps if they went on a walk everyday this would be less of a problem.
I would agree with everything this article discusses as I have seen it myself. I am definitely more interesting in learning more about the communication of dogs. I think if we better understood them things would be better for them.
I think this topic affects the world because many humans own a dog and don't know how to take care of one. Dogs have a language of their own and can be of better use to a human if they are better understood. If they were really a man's best friend than we'd do everything we could for them.

Introductory Blog
Hello, I'm Justin Willey a fellow classmate born and raised in Nogales Az. I'm currently in my 6th semester of college. I am majoring in education. During the 2012/13 Year I was attending film school at Scottsdale Community College. Towards the end of the year I realized Film School isn't what I wanted to do. After much thought I decided becoming a teacher was the best path. The only language I speak is English. Of course coming from Nogales I've picked up on a lot of Spanish. One of the things I enjoy doing the most is writing stories as I am a creative person. Maybe someday I can get something published. I hope to learn a lot from this class. I also hope that this class will help me along the path to becoming a teacher.
