Introductory Blog

  Hello, I'm Justin Willey a fellow classmate born and raised in Nogales Az. I'm currently in my 6th semester of college. I am majoring in education. During the 2012/13 Year I was attending film school at Scottsdale Community College. Towards the end of the year I realized Film School isn't what I wanted to do. After much thought I decided becoming a teacher was the best path. The only language I speak is English. Of course coming from Nogales I've picked up on a lot of Spanish. One of the things I enjoy doing the most is writing stories as I am a creative person. Maybe someday I can get something published. I hope to learn a lot from this class. I also hope that this class will help me along the path to becoming a teacher.

    Hi Justin, I had a friend change his mind just like you did! At first he was majoring in Theater but then he realized that it wasn't for him so now he is working towards a degree in education, just like you!

    I also enjoy writing stories, however I never finish a story because I often get writter's block; So I tend to have sequels to one big idea. I wish you luck in your goals.

    Hi, Justin. So I had to create a new account because I somehow managed to create a blog with a nonexistent email. Go me! As for your change in major, I think that was a wonderful decision. I work with children now at a childcare/preschool. What age were you aiming to teach? See you in class :)

    Hey Justin!
    It's so awesome that you lived in Nogales. It is a totally different atmoshere close to the border. So, I wanted to tell you, I think it's awesome you are planning on attending GCU! Have you already applied? I am full of GCU information and have some pretty great contacts. Kyle Leonardi is the education admissions rep for them. I have his contact information if you would like to send them an unofficial transcript and what not. I'm happy we're in class together!!!
